was born in 1971 in Zielona Gora, Poland. He received the Ph.D. degree in machine design and exploitation from Warsaw University of Technology, Poland, in 2000; the Doctor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Zielona Góra, Poland, in 2009; and the full professor degree in 2020. Currently, he is Director of the Institute of Control and Computation Engineering at the University of Zielona Góra and Chairman of the Information and Communication Technology Discipline Council. He has published more than 170 technical papers, including two monographs, Artificial Neural Networks for the Modelling and Fault Diagnosis of Technical Processes (Springer, 2008) and Robust and Fault-Tolerant Control. Neural-Network-Based Solutions (Springer Nature, 2020).
His research interests include artificial neural networks, especially recurrent networks, neural modeling and identification of nonlinear dynamic systems, model-based fault diagnosis, fault-tolerant control systems, optimization techniques, and optimal experimental design.
