received the Ph.D. degree in control science and engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China, in 2006.,He is currently a Professor with the Institute of Advanced Measurement and Control Technology, Dalian University of Technology, Dalian, China. He published more than 160 research articles and two monographs. His research interests include industrial process identification and modeling, process measurement by infrared spectroscopy and imaging, control system design, batch process optimization, and process monitoring. Prof. Liu serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, an Editorial Board Member for the International Journal of Control, and a member of the Technical Committee on Chemical Process Control of IFAC, Technical Committee on System Identification and Adaptive Control of the IEEE Control System Society, and Technical Committees of Control Theory and Process Control of Chinese Association of Automation..
